Clarke And Tracie's Fun Things To Do In Bend, Oregon!

Tracie and I love to travel to Bend, Oregon, a short two-hour drive from the Central Willamette Valley. There is always plenty to do in this city of 50,000 people. In the winter, we enjoy cross-country skiing as well as tubing. (Well, at least I enjoy tubing!) In the summer, we hit the hiking trails, get in some exciting whitewater rafting or just enjoy the peace and quiet of such a beautiful area.

While the skiing and tubing is done on Mt. Bachelor (about a 30 minute trip from downtown Bend) the whitewater rafting is a little closer to town along the Deschutes River. As far as hiking, great spots are all around, including Pilot Butte, which is in town. Of course, you can DRIVE up there, too. Either way, it's worth seeing the spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the Cascades. What a gorgeous place to watch the sunset!
